When I got to work on Monday, we were told to go home after a few hours because the air conditioning in the entire building had blown. When you work in a very tall building, things have a tendency to get sticky really quickly. All of the power in the building had to be turned off in order for the problem to be fixed which means the building had to be closed. Our building has been closed since Monday morning and I find myself wanting to go back to work and I blame this irrational want on it being midterms week. Therefore my midterms have been staring at me the entire time that I have been home. I've been getting them done as well as spending a bit of time at the gym and lounging by the pool. I just hope I can go to work tomorrow.
The Architect found awesome plane tickets to go to Boston in September. I'm excited. After DC, Boston is my favorite city. We're going for a long weekend. It'll be nice.
What's new in your world?By the way, I'm loving the book that I'm reading now. It's fantastic.

I'm reading Blankets and American Born Chinese. You're coming to my neck of woods. Boston is enjoyable if you know where you're going which I never do -.-
Gah, I'd love to spend a long weekend in Boston! Lucky you
Boston is a nice city. Wish I had the time to visit it again on this next trip. Well, you can go and have a good time in my place. How about that? =)
Hope your building gets fixed up soon! Nothing much new here, working, wedding planning and such.
Thanks for the tip on DC recognizing gay marriages performed in other states! I linked you in my Queerish post (which goes live tomorrow morning). ^.^
Did he do that Southwest deal?
Yay Boston! Where in Mass at you from?
Hope the A/C gets fixed soon at your work place. Just heard on ABC this evening about the Southwest deals. I told M to get on the ball and get some tickets pronto. Hope you have a great time in Boston.
Oh, Boston...fun fun.
Do tell more re. the book. Why do you like it?
Holy cow..."wanting" to go back to work? Whatever you do, don't say that in front of a psyche examine or that may be grounds to have you committed.
i wish i could visit the east coast. i just feel that there's a lot more places to visit than the west coast.
I havent been to Boston in years. It was fun when I was there, but I am sure it would be an entirely different experience now!
I cant wait until I have some time at home! Good thing I dont have any midterms.
@LetheOfHeaven - I wouldn't say I know where I'm going but I do know how to take the T :)
@AnamcharaConcepts - I'm excited!
@christao408 - Okay, I can most definitely do that :)
@AlterEgo909 - I hope so too. I'm off again today. This is getting pretty ridiculous!
@ModernBunny - No problem. I was really excited when I heard about it! I hope eventually DC will get their act together and start performing ceremonies themselves. Maybe MD and VA will follow suit!
@Roadlesstaken - Yeah! We couldn't pass it up!
@Dmbosstone - I'm actually originally from CO but I've lived in this area since I was four. I was indoctrinated into the Nation by a New Englander when I was in college. New Englanders can be pushy :P
@SoullFire - Probably so but I would rather do work than work on midterms!!!
@lollarious - The West Coast is wonderful but the East Coast is way different. A good chunk of the West Coast is all one state while here our states are much smaller and you can get a different flavor in each place you visit. Although from visiting CA, I can say that Northern California and Southern California really could be their own states. They're so different! I've never been to OR or WA.
@der_lila_Stern - I went two years ago so I'm anxious to go back.
@i_was_there_and_back_again - I'm thinking about doing a post on it but I want to finish reading it today which I think that I should be able to do. It's a unique book that has a lot to say about humanity. So look for the post :)
@ZSA_MD - The a/c is still broken and they've had to turn all of the power off so they can fix it which means no work for me again today. I hope you and M find someplace wonderful to go!
Wow! Do you get paid for these days off or not? At least the weather has been great!
I have always been curious about Boston...
Always wanted to go to Boston, can I sneak in your suitcase?
I love that quote you shared from the book you're reading. I put it in my facebook profile, hope ya don't mind!
