  • A Game

I got this game from the ever lovely ZSA_MD :

    1. I have come to realize that….. the past really is prologue. You can try to distance yourself from your past but it still is a big part of the overall story.

    1. I am listening to…. birds chirping outside and the whirr of the washing machine and music (My Name is Jonas by Weezer right now).

    1. I talk…. too much sometimes and not enough when I should.

    1. My best friend…. is absolutely amazing and way too far away from me. She’s moving out of the lower 48 states :(

    1. My first real kiss….. was in a mosh pit (for serious )

    1. I love…. that I’m almost finished with school while meanwhile I have an amazing fiance who is instrumental in getting me through these next two weeks. He brought me Starbucks and doughnuts to start out the day. Right now, he’s out getting flowers to make our deck look pretty :)

    1. I lost… nothing this week, which is impressive with as busy as I’ve been. I have a tendency to lose stuff when I’m busy.

    1. I hate it when people… don’t make good on their promises.

    1. Love is…. this quote: “I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
      I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.”

    1. Marriage is ….. something that I’m looking forward to. I can’t wait to marry my Architect

    1. Somewhere, someone is thinking….. about something

    1. I’ll always know ….. that I am a lot stronger than I give myself credit for.

    1. I have a secret crush on…. George Stephanopoulas (talk policy to me, bebe).

    1. The last time I cried was ….. I actually have done really good with the not crying thing for the past few months even with so much going on.

    1. My cell phone…. is red?

    1. The moment I wake up… I usually smile.

    1. Before I go to sleep… I talk to the Architect a whole bunch

    1. Right now I am thinking about…. how nice it will be to be finished with school.

    1. Babies are…. something that I think about for the future…

    1. Today, I ….. spent most of the day writing papers.

    1. Tonight, I …. will give myself a break and hang out a little before a busy week.

    1. Tomorrow I…. think I have a lot of meetings and then will come home to do more work.

    1. I really want to have…. the next two weeks finished with.

    1.  I am…. happy right now. Life is good

If you play, let me know! I’d love to see your answers :)

  • Filled with Glee!

This month, Kween of the Queens asked us to list things that give us glee.  I’m generally a very happy person and it doesn’t take me much to feel glee at all.

    Here’s my (abbreviated)list:

    1. Sun showers: I absolutely love them. I love the juxtaposition of rain and sun together. There’s always a better chance for rainbows when there are sun showers. Who couldn’t love them?

    2. Really good talks with really good people: I’m a talker. I can be shy when I first meet someone but if I get to know you and I like you, I will talk your ear off about anything. Add a good cup of coffee and some good atmosphere and I’m good to go.

    3. Traveling: There is nothing that I like better than exploring new places. When I’m not traveling, I’m dreaming about traveling. My current fixation is on our honeymoon trip (we have plane and hotel reservations all finished as of this weekend). We have a few little weekend trips coming up in May and a few tentative trips coming up for the summer. I can’t wait!

    4. Reading a good book that actually tells me something I didn’t know before: I devoured a 500 page book on the history of the Berlin Wall this weekend. I’m a huge history buff and I found the book to be absolutely riveting. I learned a lot of things that I didn’t know before. It’s always refreshing to be surprised by history.

    5. Lazy days: I actually got to have one this weekend. We’re always pretty busy so lazy days have been at a premium for the past few months. Saturday, I was up early. I made coffee and sat out on my balcony and read and read and read. I felt slightly guilty for not finding something slightly more productive to do but it was nice!

    6. Almost being finished with my Masters: I have class this week and next week and then finals the week after. It is so close. I don’t even care that I’m going to have three pretty tough finals to contend with. I received my cap and gown in the mail last week and broke it out to march around our living room in front of the Architect in while humming the graduation march. Practice makes perfect, you know J

Life is good today, life is good today.

  • Adventures in Food

The Architect and I have a tendency to have long talks before bed. They’re usually incredibly silly but sometimes serious. We’ll usually jabber on to each other until one of us falls asleep. He’s been super busy this week out doing work stuff and I’ve been super busy this week at home writing three papers (all finished now; yay!).  Last night was one of the incredibly silly nights.

Prologue: A few weeks ago, I read The Omnivore’s Dilemma. It’s not necessarily about vegetarianism but it’s about the American food supply chain and it’s made me do a lot of thinking about what I eat and why I eat it. I have also been watching too much inciting tv such as Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution where he showed a bunch of kids the very disgusting process of making chicken nuggets (I’m really not sure I can eat at McDonalds anymore).

Meg:  You know, if it weren’t for you, I could probably be a full vegetarian.

Architect: Why don’t you cook vegetarian then?

M: You don’t like vegetables and I’m not cooking two meals.

    A: I would try it.

M: If I came home and said that I was cooking tofu as a protein, you would throw a riot. No, you would throw a revolution. You would take my tofu and throw it in the cesspool behind our building. It would be your own Boston Tea Party with tofu. Boston Tofu Party. No, R_______  Tofu Party. It would turn ugly very quickly!

A: *looks at me and my verbal spew with bewilderment*
